We heard this song on our way to our anniversary dinner :) We kinda love it... like a lot. Enjoy!
So hold on to me tight
Hold on to me tonight
We are stronger here together
Then we could ever be alone
Then we could ever be alone
So hold on to me
Don't you ever let me go
This past Monday Matt and I celebrated our 2 year wedding anniversary! Two years goes by so fast :) To celebrate we both took the day off from work and spent a day - just the two of us! We didn't really get to sleep in because of our little buddy across the hall, but that was okay... Matt took Ben to daycare so I could sleep a bit more and then our day began. We went to breakfast at a place called Demitris in Homewood... best french toast EVER. We then did a TINY bit of shopping - ONLY because Matt gave me a giftcard to my favorite store. Year 2 is "cotton" so he let me pick out an anniversary dress to wear to the Jimmy Buffett concert we are going to this saturday! (SQUEAL!!) I knew exactly what dress I wanted so it didn't take long. We then headed back towards mountain brook and went to the ZOO!! It was SO much fun! We felt a little guilty being there with out Ben, but we justified it by saying we were just scoping out all of the good places to take him so next time we will be experts!
These are all courtesy of the iPhone - so, excuse the poor pic quality! We had SO much fun together at the Zoo... definitely made us remember why we fell in love. We wore ourselves out though and had to rehydrate at Olexa's... the best lunch place in Bham. We both had 5 refills before the waitress even took our food order. Lunch was delicious and we began to contemplate what to do next... we both agreed that there was nothing in the world we would rather do than...nap. We went home and took a good 2 hour nap.
It.was.heaven.
We woke up in time to go get the little guy from daycare. We ended up getting a surprise visit from my best friend from highschool, Renee. That was a treat! The last time she saw Ben he wasn't quite 3 months old... a BIG change from the Mr. Personality we live with today!
Our dearrrrrrrr friends Sarah and Whit came to watch Ben while we went to a nice anniversary dinner. Unfortunately Ben has gotten a bit of a cold and I don't think he was very pleasant - however, they said he went down quickly so hopefully it wasn't too bad! We went to Satterfield's in Cahaba Heights - very yummy! It was hard finding a nice restaurant open on a Monday. Most around Bham are closed... but Satterfeilds was verrrry good and we enjoyed a nice 2009 bottle of wine in honor of 5/23/09!
Here's to many more!
xoxo
