double digits

Holy moly... are we really just 2 months away from Ben's first birthday??? Oh...my..goodness... I am not prepared for that.  I want my baby to stay a baby forever - really, i do - I 100% do.  He is just the cutest stinking thing to hit this earth and I feel like the luckiest Mommy in the whole wide world.  Here is a tribute to month 10... a VERY big month :)

Sweet baby Benjamin, at 10 months you...

• ...are WALKING!!  And really, you just aren't casually walking - you are running... with objects in your hands... and loving every minute of it.  You are a GREAT walker AND a great fall-er.  You have great balance, but when your toes trip you up you just stick out that tooshie and fall right on your behind.  There have been several more bumps and bruises to go along with the walking - but I am used to it now... you are 100% boy and I absa-freaking-lutely love it!  You really love to walk over to these big bouncing balls that we bought you and pick them up and throw them.  We are thinking basketball or soccer will be your favorite sport.  You also LOVE to kick the balls while running behind them - seriously!! you are 10 months old - where in the world did you learn to do that!! Your first steps were technically at 9 months 3 weeks :) on May 16th.

(Okay - enough about walking...haha) Benjamin, at 10 months you also...

• ...still have no teeth!!
• ...can hold your bottle - and will only take a bottle from yourself... you are very i-n-d-e-p-e-n-d-e-n-t! you really love to walk around drinking your bottle and it is so, so freaking precious!
• ...can do the pincer grasp - which is picking things up with you pointer and thumb
• ...are making LOTS of new sounds including this silly one with your tongue - i think you are just having a blast exploring your vocal chords and mouth :) You also love to blow strawberries on mommy's shoulder... its so cute/funny!
• ...point at objects and people.  You love to point!  You point at everyone in the grocery store and it totally makes their day - so super cute.
• ...shake your head "No" - you love to do this while we feed you :) not so much fun for us, but you think its hilarious.
• ....can kind of drink from a straw.... we bought you 100% juice capri suns and you are ADDICTED!
• ...throw your head back when you smile - and your smile is 100% CHEESE :) its so cute (there is a theme here I am realizing - Ben is kinda cute, right??!)
• ...have figured out that when you drop things Mommy and Daddy will pick them up - worst revelation everrrrrrrr.  At restaurants, the grocery, while at your highchair - you looove to drop things.  We try and make you pick things at home but it doesn't really stop you! You think its SO funny, too :)  And when you flash us that gummy grin, I kinda think its cute, too!
• Another mischievous thing you've gotten into is the toilet paper! You LOVE to unravel it and string it across the bathroom! You know its the wrong thing to do, so you look really guilty when we catch you!
• Buffett continues to be your BFF - but he is at Camp Skelley for the summer and you realllly miss him!
