The first weekend in December we went to the Heart of Dixie Railroad museum and rode the North Pole Express with Santa! This was Ben's first Santa sighting of the year. The kid LOVES trains, so this was a match made in heaven. It was SO much fun and we will definitely be doing it again next year as part of our Christmas tradition. They do a Polar Express experience too, where kids come in their PJs and get hot chocolate, see Santa and hear the story. I think that will be fun for Ben a little later on in life. For now, just being ON the train was a thrill for him!

December Part 1: All aboard!
Okay. So, it's February and I am just now posting December pictures :) Better late than never, right? And we did SO many fun things in December. We saw Santa a lot and Ben was so cute and shy each time. He definitely got the whole "Santa" thing this year - which made Christmas oh, so fun. The first pictures below are of us at a hardware store picking out our tree :) We wanted to go to a tree farm and do something memorable and fun - BUT - the day didn't quite go as planned... so we ended up getting to Lowe's right before they closed and took our sweet time picking out not one but two trees! Matt said since we didn't get the tree experience I was wanting, I could have two trees! yay!
